International Cake Pops

A friend of mine recently asked me to make cake pops as favors for a baby shower she was putting together. She wanted them to have an international flair since the mother-to-be is a native of Brazil. First I thought of making a large arrangement, but then we decided to do individual favors that could easily be taken home with each guest. She pretty much let me do whatever I thougt was best, so here's what I came up with...

I made 42 cake pops and coated them to coordinate with the colors of the American and Brazilian flags. While the coating was still wet on the outside, I heavily coated them with white sanding sugar. Styrofoam was cut to fit each box and glued in the bottom just to make it more sturdy. I used spanish moss as the filler. The little boxes were from a set of wedding favors I purchased at Hobby Lobby. They were a great deal, especially with that 40% coupon! I printed mini flags from my computer, glued them onto 4 inch skewers and inserted them into each box with the cake pops. I LOVE them!

Once again, you've nailed it and gone beyond the "call of duty"! A very professional look.
